Cutline: More than martial arts classes, Tae Kwon Do unlimited teaches honesty, respect and friendship.
“Honesty, respect and friendship is our motto,” Chemin Alldredge, co-owner of Tae Kwon Do Unlimited and first-degree black belt, said. Tae Kwon Do Unlimited is a family-based business that caters to their community. Their youngest student is 3 years old and their oldest, 57. Parents and students, for the last 15 years, keep coming back to the martial arts center, not only for instruction and advancement in martial arts studies, but for the motivational environment and support they receive. Caleb Labarda, Alldredge's brother and co-owner and a third-degree black belt and lead instructor for the center, is looked upon as a role model for his students. They are taught, from the first class they take, what is expected of them and what consequences they face if those expectations fall. In other words, if a student is struggling with homework, the instructors at Tae Kwon Do Unlimited will round up a tutor who can help during class time. As soon as the homework is completed, the student is allowed to resume their martial arts studies. Tae Kwon Do Unlimited also teaches Women's Kickboxing and XiaolinGruv, a the NASKA Triple Crown Award, Carmichael Simon. For more information, contact Tae Kwon Do Unlimited at 1760 E. Villa Drive in the Sweet Jill's parking lot behind Safeway, call the studio at 649-1530 or e-mail Alldredge at tkdunlimited@msn.com. Classes are held Monday through Friday, between 3 and 8 p.m.
